You will learn application of medical treatment in the concept of what you already know and do as a police officer. Prioritizing actions is critical in the direct threat care environment by balancing potential risks and benefits of casualty treatment when an active threat is present. By learning to stop the bleeding with a tourniquet or proximal pressure you can buy yourself more time.
