The instructor is graciously donating his time to support local LE. \nInstructor Bio:\nRob Haught of Symtac Consulting is a veteran law enforcement officer with 30+ years experience as a Patrol Officer\, Chief of Police and Chief Deputy Sheriff in West Virginia. Rob is an accomplished competitive shooter with numerous National\, Regional and State championships under his belt. Rob is a respected instructor for Federal\, State and Local LE agencies. While best known as an innovative tactical shotgun instructor\, Rob also offers programs in handgun\, submachine gun and carbine and is a consultant to the firearms industry and corporate security. \nCourse Description: \nPlease note this is a 1 day variant of a 2 day class.  Ammo requirements will be slightly less\, but come prepared. \nThis course primarily focuses on the Push/Pull method of recoil control. Using Rob’s unique method of recoil management\, the student will be able to reduce felt recoil by nearly 50% and be able to fire follow-up shots with a 12 gauge pump shotgun as fast as most shooters can fire their pistols. The student will also be introduced to the shotgun CQB technique\, which effectively shortens the weapon by 33%\, making it effective even in extremely tight quarters.\nOther topics include: marksmanship fundamentals\, patterning zones\, ammunition selection\, tactical manipulation\, equipment selection\, low light considerations\, malfunction clearances\, pistol transitions\, pivots/turns\, and shooting on the move. \nEquipment requirements: ﻿ \n• Reliable tube-fed duty-type shotgun \n• Ammo carriage gear (Dump pouch\, belt carriers\, chest rig\, etc\, to allow you to bring at least 25 rounds to the line at a time) \n• Service pistol and holster \n• Eye and ear protection \n• Shooting gloves \n• Clothing suitable for range work \n• Kneepads \n• Packed lunch\, Snacks and water \n• Weapons lubricant and cleaning supplies \n• 400 rds. birdshot (lead only\, no steel shot) \n• 30 rds. buckshot \n• 25 rds. slug \n• 50 rds. pistol﻿ \nWe also highly recommend having an individual trauma first aid kit and the training to use it!﻿﻿﻿﻿﻿ \n
